Hawaii Kai Boating Club exchanges burgee with Makani Kai Yacht Club

The Makani Kai Yacht Club hosted the Hawaii Commodores Association Meeting on March 20, 2012.  The Hawaii Commodores Association is made up of Commodores from all of the active boating clubs on Oahu and includes representatives of the National Coast Guard, the Hawaii Ocean Safety Team, and the Hawaii Sailing Foundation.

Sunday October 9th, 2011 was the Hawaii Youth Sailing Association Race number 8.  Makani Kai Yacht Club sponsors this event each year and performed Race Committee duties as well as presented these young sailors with trophies hand made by the MKYC along with a BBQ.

Community Service

Ala Wai Harbor Cleanup

Makani Kai Yacht Club participates in a variety of community service activities.  The "Get the Drift and Bag It" event, for instance, gets yacht club members and NOAA members together to collect, catalogue, and dispose of marine debris in the Ala Wai Harbor.
